Hinkler Central

Located in Bundaberg, Hinkler Central is MCD’s first project with Parkstone.

MCD was appointed as Project Manager and Superintendent in 2025 to undertake an extension and upgrade to the existing Hinkler Shopping Centre. The works involve converting an existing carpark into a 1,000m² GFA extension, split across three tenancies including medical and pharmacy offerings. A new loading dock, carpark reconfiguration including a Coles Click & Collect facility, and accompanying shade sails are also included.

Construction is under two stages, with stage 1 running concurrently with a major Coles store refurbishment. Construction management, sequencing and effective communication has been vital to managing construction whilst maintaining an operating centre, including pedestrian and parking access through and adjacent to the site.

The project is due for completion in early 2027.
