Opal Ascot

The newest addition to the Bernborough vertical retirement community overlooking the Ascot racecourse is Ascot Grove Care Community by Opal HealthCare.

The 10,000 m2 GFA consists of a mix of residential room sizes with ensuites and access to patios or balconies and communal and lifestyle spaces including a wellness centre, Chapel, theatre, salon, cafe and landscaped gardens and outdoor courtyard areas. Operational and BOH areas include a commercial laundry and kitchen, training room, administration, consultancy and learning rooms, plus ongrade parking.

In 2021 MCD Australia was appointed as Project Manager to work with Opal HealthCare and architects Jackson Teece to bring this project to fruition from concept to keys. A multi-disciplined consultancy team was gathered to undertake concept design and a DA for 180 beds, including a 10- bed Memory Care Unit was secured in 2025.  Works started on site in January 2026 and completion is anticipated in the first quarter of 2028.
